The College Girl?
It’s basically a real-life How I Met Your Mother, but ironically, it’s animated.
Inspired by the birth of his first son, Alex Clark takes his real-life kids through a goofy time capsule of his cringiest college memories. It’s an animated series they’ll find when they are older, reminding anyone looking for love that even an idiot can find a person worth waiting for: their mother.
It’s Ted Lasso heart meets SpongeBob absurdity.
The show is a remixed scrapbook of 2005 cell phone videos
and the vibrant insanity of modern day animation.

The charismatic narrator and aspiring comedian. While struggling to afford film school, Alex spends his freshman year making every mistake in the book chasing the girl of his dreams. He just can’t figure out which one it is.

The "College Girl" herself—an artsy TV major with former-cheerleader energy who is clearly out of Alex’s league. While he initially turns to her for advice on his failing love life, their friendship turns romantic after years of near misses.

The 4-Season Arc
ALL TRUE STORIES FROM COLLEGE
Season 1: The Orientation The cast navigates the prestigious (and pretentious) halls of Expenserson College. As high school romances inevitably crumble, the group is forced to let go of their past identities, forging an unbreakable bond between Alex, Pam, and their kooky inner circle.
Season 2: A Royal Mess The group heads to Europe to study in a literal castle, but the “royal” lifestyle wears off quickly. Between hitchhiking across the continent and stowing away on trains, the real drama hits when—instead of finally falling for each other—Alex and Pam manage to fall for each other's roommates.
Season 3: The Amulet Alex wrangles the group into a DIY, Indiana Jones-inspired student film. As the “masterpiece” takes shape in Alex's head, the reality on set is a catastrophe: a stuntman is rushed to the ER, the production loses $5,000 worth of camera film, and Alex falls for the onset intern. As the production falls apart, so does the budding relationship between Alex and Pam.
Season 4: The Great Migration. The group leaves the comfort of Expenserson for the bright lights of LA. Alex and the "College Girl" finally get together—only to face the terrifying reality of career-chasing and a potential long-distance heartbreak. The season closes on a bittersweet note, potentially leaving them right back where they started.
